It has been years since I posted something on these boards. Now it's repaired.

I've just completed my entry for a challenge organized by 3DVF, a french forum about digital images. The theme was "the worlds of Jules Verne" (a writer you've probably heard about).
Each participant had to choose one of his books and illustrate a scene out of it, so I chose "Around the world in 80 days" which tells the story of an english gentleman who bet he would be able to turn around the world in less than 80 days. In 1872 (date of the story), it was a serious a challenge !

For my entry, since the major interest of that book is the travel itself, I've decided to include several images in one image, in a range of graphic styles that run from many centuries to 1930's. Such a mix of all these styles can look weird, but why not : that's more fun to do, simply

So the borders in Mucha style incarnate through ladies the continents crossed by the hero (Europe, Middle East, Asia and America) ; the inside panels show 3 precise scenes from the book, each painted in a style related to the region where it takes place.

Everything is Photoshop, from start to end.
